Coordinates agency projects, special events, resource fairs, and presentations regarding the agency’s programs, to include Aging Services, Public Transportations, Veterans Services, and Weatherization Assistance; Maintains contact with stakeholders, non-profit agencies, vendors, and state and federal agencies to facilitate cross-project communications and relations; Performs research, writing, editing, and production of informational materials ready for publication and dissemination to the general public, partner agencies and key stakeholders; Maintains the agency contact database that includes, but is not limited to member governments, media, and general interest parties; Requires excellent inter-personal, presentation and public speaking skills.
Handles requests, scheduling, and execution of presentations and related events for community partners, member governments and their elected officials, and local, state and federal agency partners; Coordinates with the agency’s multiple programs to understand their goals and services and represent those programs at special events, meetings, workshops and conferences; Serves as a liaison between AACOG and community partners, non-profit organizations, vendors, and member governments to facilitate communication and coordination of special events; Reviews program reports and educational materials to provide up-to-date information regarding services to the public; Adheres to the quality assurance plan, policies, and procedures per internal/external agencies; Properly documents time in Automatic Data Processing (ADP) system or its equivalent; May perform administrative duties as necessary, to include data gathering, application processing, verifying financial information, updating contacts lists, and compiling reports.
Coordinates projects, workshops, special events and outreach efforts; Conducts public presentations to community leaders, partner agencies and local service organizations; Travels for local and regional meetings; Attends appropriate meetings, workgroups, networking events, conferences, and workshops. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Desired Degree/Job Experience: Associate's Degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field; At least two (2) years of customer service experience, preferably for a governmental entity or non-profit organization involved in the provision of social services programs; Or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the aforementioned duties/functions.
Other Qualifications: Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred; Efficient with Microsoft Office Suite products; Ability to deliver effective presentations; valid driver’s license and insurance coverage.
