This is a responsible, non-supervisory position that provides administrative and technical support work for grant development, application, administration, implementation, compliance, and close-out work; Research and identify funding sources to support existing and planned program activities; Assist with preparation of letters of intent, proposals, grant applications and other related documents for federal, state, corporate and private foundations grant programs; Manage grant preparation, submission and compliance timelines and deadlines; Perform outreach and information dissemination of agency’s grant writing, administration and fiscal services; Develop monthly grant information notices for member governments; Coordinate grant compliance report preparation; Work with Accounting Department on grant fiscal services and compliance; Develop and maintain a calendar of funding activities and other duties as required.

Coordinates work and activities associated with grant research, applications, administration, compliance, and close-out; Assists with grant preparation; Maintains records and files of grant development, application preparation, implementation, administration, compliance and close-out; Assists with grant research and information dissemination to internal and external stakeholders; Provides review and editing support; coordinates meetings and work sessions; Performs other duties as assigned.

Desired Degree/Job Experience: Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent with two (2) years of progressively responsible experience related to document organization and preparation or project management; Or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skill, and abilities.

Other Qualifications: Ability to establish effective working relationships with county and municipal governments staff, regulatory agencies; Ability to communicate effectively; Ability to research and prepare grant applications and documents; Strong ability to use a computer and standard software like Excel and Word; Strong attention to detail; Strong organization skills; Valid Texas driver’s license.

This position is a Pay Grade 12, with a starting hourly rate of $22.15. This is a non-exempt position. Open until Filled. Only electronic online applications will be accepted.
