(AACOG)

This is a responsible supervisory position; Reports directly to the AACOG Senior Director; The position holder is directly responsible for oversight of the daily administration of the Alamo and Bexar Area Agencies of Aging (AAA) and the Aging and Disability Veterans Resource Center (ADVRC), including supervision, budgeting, grant and funding management, contract administration and tracking and report submissions to the Texas Department of Health and Human Services, and any other local, state, and federal funding agencies; Position holder will have direct responsibility and oversight of the staff and the functions for the (ADVRC) and Alamo and Bexar (AAA) including, but not limited to care coordination, caregiver services, benefits counseling, ombudsman, health and wellness, transportation, and other related services for older adults within the AACOG region; Administrative responsibilities also include: quality assurance and quality control, developing and implementing procedures, enhancing efficiency and supporting outreach and marketing programs; Maintains communication with all staff and other agency employees who have direct or indirect involvement in supporting ADVRC and AAA operations; Work with key staff to identify and resolve problems.

Coordinates with Texas Department of Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), other state and federal agencies, and subcontractors on budgets, programmatic procedures, evaluations, program performance reports, contract compliance, initiation of new programs, and expansion of current services; Provides technical assistance to subcontractors and other community agencies including identifying resources, meeting with boards and other funding sources, assisting with grant applications and contracts, and planning programs;  Monitors and evaluates subcontractors for contract compliance in various regions; Compiles information and reports on aging services relating to nutrition, support services, and postal alert; Supervises program staff; Develops, amends and revises area comprehensive plan and strategic plans; Attends conferences, seminars, and workshops; Serves as resource person to community agencies and institutions, elected officials, and groups; Performs multiple tasks simultaneously; Resolves conflicts as necessary; Works closely with others as part of a team; Deals with emergency situations as needed; May work an irregular schedule, if required; Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Desired Degree/Job Experience: Prefer a bachelor’s degree in a relevant Business or Human Services related field; A minimum, four (4) years of supervisory experience; Or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Minimum Physical Requirements: Light carrying/lifting which requires physically transporting, raising items from a lower to a higher position, or moving objects horizontally weighing 15 to 20 pounds from one location to another; Sit for sustained periods of time; Visual requirement for reading documents, computer screens and operating a vehicle.

This position is a Pay Grade 22, with a starting annual salary of $72,862.40. This is an exempt position. Open until Filled. Only electronic online applications will be accepted.
